Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the subsequent criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house having a combined gross residence income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house income would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from households with combined R350 000 click here and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
